What does Diamond Apex Invisalign Provider mean?
Diamond Apex is an Invisalign provider tier recognising high annual treatment volume. It reflects extensive experience with the Invisalign system. Your treatment is planned around your teeth, bite and goals, with clinical reviews and retention discussed from the outset.
Clear aligners can treat some crowded, tipped or rotated teeth, but these problems need different movements and levels of control. A lower incisor tilted towards the tongue presents a different challenge from a markedly rotated canine. Root shape, available space and supporting bone affect the plan; attachments, staged movement or fixed braces may be appropriate depending on the findings.
Can aligners untangle crowded lower front teeth?
Crowded lower incisors may be tilted, rotated or short of space, including after earlier treatment has relapsed. The assessment measures crowding, root positions, gum thickness, recession, bone support and the bite, and checks for deposits behind the teeth. It also establishes whether the main concern is appearance, cleaning, health or function. Space may be created through carefully limited expansion, small reductions between teeth or another plan, with fixed braces considered alongside aligners. Pushing teeth beyond supporting bone can worsen recession. The plan needs to explain how room will be made and how retainers will limit later movement.
Can clear aligners correct teeth tipping towards the tongue?
A tooth tilted towards the tongue may need control of both its visible crown and its root. The dentist assesses arch width, root position, supporting bone, opposing teeth and any interference in the bite. Moving the crown alone may leave an unfavourable angle or fail to address a crossbite. Attachments, staged movements, additional techniques or fixed braces may be needed according to severity and how movement progresses. A tray can appear seated without every planned root movement having occurred. Reviews therefore need to consider tooth angles, bite contacts and gum limits as well as the front-view smile.
Can clear aligners rotate a badly twisted canine?
A canine's rounded crown can be difficult for smooth plastic to grip, and its long root adds to the challenge of controlled rotation. The plan considers how far it needs to turn, the space available and where attachments could help. Options may include attachments, small reductions between teeth, staged movement, additional aids or fixed braces. A software animation shows the intended movement, with actual progress checked at intervals, especially if the tray stops fitting closely around the tooth. If refinement is needed, the clinician should explain what would change rather than simply issue more trays.
Similar-looking teeth may need different root movements
For example, two teeth may look only slightly irregular from the front while needing quite different root movements. The tooth shape, gum condition and available bone can make one less predictable to move than the other. Photographs alone cannot show root control. If treatment objectives change, the revised plan should explain the reason and its implications.
Agreeing the less predictable parts of the plan
Before starting, understand which movements are likely to be least predictable and how progress will be assessed. Creating room by movement or limited enamel reduction has different trade-offs. Additional trays may form part of the plan; needing them is not automatically evidence that treatment has failed.
