Teeth Straightening at Iconic Smiles

Teeth straightening can use clear aligners, fixed braces or a combination of approaches. The right option depends on your teeth, bite, growth and the movements required. At Iconic Smiles, orthodontic assessment can connect specialist-led planning with restorative care where needed.

How do you choose between aligners and braces?

Clear aligners are removable and depend on reliable wear. Fixed braces remain attached to the teeth during active treatment. Your clinician should explain which appliance can best deliver the required movements and why alternatives may be appropriate.

What happens during assessment?

Assessment records the teeth and bite, discusses your goals and examines oral health. Photographs, digital scans and appropriate X-rays support planning. Three-dimensional imaging is selected where clinically justified rather than being an automatic requirement for every orthodontic case.

Who plans orthodontic care?

Dr Kishan Patel is the Specialist Orthodontist featured in the Iconic Smiles team. Where a case involves missing teeth, tooth wear or cosmetic changes, orthodontic and restorative planning can be coordinated before deciding the treatment sequence.

What determines the time and cost?

Complexity, appliance choice, biological response and attendance influence the pathway. Discuss the proposed stages, what the quotation includes and whether refinements or additional treatment could be required. Digital simulations help explain a plan; they are not a guarantee of the final result.

What happens after straightening?

Retainers and ongoing care help maintain the result after active tooth movement. Ask how retention, reviews, cleaning and replacement retainers will be managed before starting treatment.
