Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay extra for advanced scans and digital work?

Sometimes. Certain scans and digital procedures carry separate fees, especially for implants and complex cases. However, we always explain costs in advance and only recommend scans that genuinely add value.

Is 3D CBCT imaging safe?

Yes, when used appropriately. CBCT involves more radiation than a small X-ray but much less than many medical scans. We follow strict guidelines so that the benefits outweigh the risks.

Do intraoral scanners replace all impressions?

Not yet. They replace many but not all traditional impressions. Where they are better, we use them as standard. In a few situations, conventional impressions are still needed.

Does digital planning mean treatment is faster?

Often yes. Digital planning can reduce remakes, improve fit and cut down on unplanned extra visits. However, we never rush clinical steps; we simply remove avoidable inefficiency.

Do all Iconic Smiles clinics use the same technology?

Key technologies such as digital records, intraoral scanning and access to 3D CBCT imaging are shared across the group. Some equipment is located at specific hubs, but all clinics can access the same digital workflows.

Does technology replace clinical skill?

No. Technology supports, but never replaces, judgement and hands. Our implant, orthodontic and cosmetic leads still make the key decisions; digital tools simply give them better information.
